1. Valley of Flowers

It was discovered in 1931 by British Traveller Frank Smith and the peak is at height of 14,000 feet. The trek of the valley of flowers starts from Govind Ghat and ends at Hemkund Sahib. Valley of flowers is one of the most beautiful places to visit in Badrinath. Another reason to visit the place is that Lord Hanuman came here to collect the Sanjeevani Buti to cure Laxman. At the park, you will be seeing the rarest species of flowers and the surrounding that the valley has is perfect for photography.

2. Trekking in Badrinath

Neelkanth is a religious peak situated at a height of 6500 meters near the Alaknanda River. For mountain climbing you can contact the Mountaineering Foundation, the committee members will tell you about the charges and requirements. 

The trek to Neelkanth starts from Charanpaduka and through the trekking trail you can see footprints of Lord Vishnu on a rock. The trek lasts about 4-5 hours and you will be climbing about a height of 4000 meters.

3. River rafting

There is only one place in Badrinath where you can enjoy river rafting that is in Total Tons Tonnage river. The water in the river is crystal-clear and the whole place is surrounded by green landscapes. There will be a guide with you while rafting and all people will be provided with a life jacket for safety purposes.

4. A holy dip in Vasudhara Falls

The Vasundhara waterfall is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Badrinath and is visited by thousands of tourists. The water of Vasudhara waterfall falls from a height of 400 feet and forms a pool on base. People come here to take bath in the holy waterfall. You must visit Vasundhara waterfall for swimming.

5. Picnic at Satopanth Lake

To reach the camp area you need to trek through Kalindi pass at a height of 4500 meters. The trekking and camping here are not easy because of the height and cold climate, even professionals find the camping difficult.

7. Holy bath in Tapt Kund
