1. Hanuman Garhi 

It was built in 1950 by a local saint and the temple is dedicated to Lord Hanuman. The temple is famous for the idol of Lord Hanuman splitting his chest because Lord Hanuman split his chest to show devotion and love for Lord Ram. The temple remains crowded on Tuesday and Saturday so make sure you visit as early as possible. Tourists who visit the temple reviewed that the view of the sky in the evening becomes enchanting. 2. Aquarium in Bhimtal Island 

Near the Bhimtal lake, there is a Bhimtal island that is covered with lush green forests. The place was once a restaurant and now the place is famous for Aquarium that is created by the Department Authority of Nainital Lake. In the aquarium, you can see fishes imported from China, Mexico, and South Africa. To reach the Island you need to hire a boat that charges INR 150 onwards.

3. Bhimeshwara Mahadev Temple

The Bhimeshwara Mahadev temple is situated at the bank of Bhimtal Lake. The temple is one of the ancient temples in the Country and is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is believed that the Pandavas stayed here while in exile. Thousands of tourists visit here to see the peaceful surroundings and beautiful architecture.

4. Victoria Dam

It is built on the bank of Bhimtal Lake and is a perfect spot for a picnic. The dam is one of the most visited places in Bhimtal and major attraction near Victoria Dam is a Flower garden that looks enchanting. Around the dam, you can see lush green dense forests and beautiful landscapes. You need to carry your own equipment for a picnic and there are no charges for enjoying here.

5. Nal Damyanti 

This is a small lake and a good spot for walking in nature and exploring the natural atmosphere. It is believed that the place is named after King Nala and his wife Damyanti. Here you can also do trekking that is suitable for beginners and through the trek you can see Sattal (Seven Lakes).

6. Cultural museum 

Folk Museum is one of the best places to explore the past and culture of Uttarakhand. The place is also known as Lok Sanskriti Sangrahalya and in the museum, you can see the collection of rock arts, information about rituals, culture, and artifacts to display the tradition of the state. For archaeologists, the museum is a paradise.

7. Karkotaka Temple

The temple is a famous temple in Bhimtal and is dedicated to serpent God, Nag Karkotaka Maharaja. The temple is situated on a hill and is surrounded by beautiful surroundings. The best time to visit the temple is during Rishi Panchami and villagers visit the place occasionally. It is believed that the God of the serpent protects the people of Bhimtal from snakes.

8. Hidimba Parvat

At Hadimba Parvat you can also go for free trekking and camping that is free of cost. But for safety, you can hire a guide that will charge some bucks.
