Museum was created by Frederic Smetacek in John estate and the place is a major attraction in Sattal. The museum is basically a farm that owns around 250 species of Butterfly and 110 species of insects. People who visit the place have reviewed that this a paradise for nature lovers. 2. Methodist Ashram

Ashram displays the history of the town and it was built by Stanley Jones who was the friend of Mahatma Gandhi. The architecture of the museum is a must-see and is surrounded by majestic landscapes. The best thing you can do here in Methodist Ashram is spent time in solitude and peace at St. Johns Church.

The seven lakes named Purna Tal, Sukha Tal, Ram Tal, Lakshman Tal, Nal Damyanti Tal, Sita Tal, Panna Tal. The lakes are a perfect spot for picnic and photography in beautiful landscapes.

4. Subhash Dhara

The waterfall is natural spring and the water of spring is crystal clear. The waterfall forms a pool at the base which is ideal for swimming and that will refresh you. You don’t need to hire any guide; the place is easily reachable by private vehicles.

5. Karkotak Temple

Karkotak Temple is the best place to do some worship and seek blessings. There is a Snakes head in the premises of the temple on which you can sit and do meditation. From the temple, you can even have some of the best views of the surrounding. A small fair is organized every year on Naag Panchami and Shiv Ratri. The temple was also mentioned in ancient books.
