1. Camp and trek to Chembra Peak
This is the highest peak in Wayanad and is most famous among trekkers. From the top of the peak, you can see the panoramic view of surrounding and the view of the whole district. You cannot just go and start trekking here you need to take permission from the South Wayanad Forest Development Agency. There are different packages available for Indians and foreigners at different prices.
It is not famous just for the view, It provides a spectacle from the top, there is a heart-shaped lake which makes the place even a more beautiful and nice spot for tourist.

2. Ancient Lord Vishnu temple – Thirunelli Temple
The Thirunelli temple in Wayanad is one of the most famous temples in City and many people come here for worship. The temple is at a height of around 900 meters and this beautifully constructed temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. It is believed that the idol of Lord Vishnu was spotted here and in many Hindu Scriptures and that why which makes the temple one of the major attractions among tourists. 4. A visit to see Wall Craving – Edakkal Caves
Edakkal cave is believed to be from the time of 6000 BC and has cave art. You must trek for around 45 minutes to reach the cave entrance. At the entrance, you must buy the tickets from the ticket counter. While being in the cave you can see that there are 2 levels in the cave and lots of carvings of animals and humans on the cave walls. Inside the cave, there are proper barricades for the safety of tourists. It is advised that you bring your food and take care of the cleanliness of the place.

5. Pakshipathalam Bird Sanctuary

7. Pookode Lake
This Lake is a freshwater lake spread over 8.5 hectares and is about 6 meters deep. The beautiful freshwater lake which is surrounded by green mountains and according to geographical experts the lake resembles the Indian map. The lake is not about just admiring its beauty the place also offers some refreshing activities like boating, trekking, bird watching and most interesting is a fish spa. 10. Vythiri town
It is the most beautiful place to stay in Wayanad. There are 18 villages in Vythiri and this is famous for its beautiful resorts and treehouses. The waterfall is surrounded by thick forests and is an ideal place for a picnic and swimming in freshwater. 13. Banasura Sagar Dam
The Banasura Sagar Dam is Asia’s second-largest dam and is situated in Wayanad district. Many people visit here for the picturesque view of the landscapes and you can also do speed boating here. 15. Explore Un-touched beauty of Kuruva Island
Kuruva Island is one of the most beautiful places to visit in Wayanad as the place is untouched by humans. The island is spread over 950 acres and is surrounded by beautiful lakes and rare species of plants. The place is perfect for those who like to spend time in nature. The island is protected by the forest department and they are the one allows visitors to enjoy some time here.
